Canada's Yukon Territory can be accessed by international flights from most
airports in Europe, US and Canada via Vancouver, Calgary / Edmonton. Try www.flyairnorth.com for booking with Yukon's airline AIR NORTH. Direct charter flights are made
by THOMAS COOK ( CONDOR ) from Frankfurt,
Germany and Zurich, Switzerland to Whitehorse (YXY). Once you are
in Whitehorse we make arrangements to charter a hydro- or skiplane flight
from / to Tagish Wilderness Lodge at the time of your booking or a shuttle bus to Tagish. The companies
we work with have friendly and experienced pilots and assist you whenever
you need help. Please contact your local travel agent for detailled air carrier
schedules.
BY CAR:
From South: Driving on the Alaska Highway
you turn left at Jake's Corner (Mile 836.8) and follow West on the Tagish
Loop to Tagish (13.5 miles). After crossing the bridge turn right into the
Tagish Bridge Recreation area where we will pick you up with our lodge boat and drive you along
Tagish River and Tagish Lake (17 miles) to the lodge.
From North: From Whitehorse, follow the
Alaska Highway South and turn right to the South Klondike Highway (approx.
18 miles from town) to Carcross (34 miles) and to Tagish (32 miles).
LODGE SHUTTLE:
From Whitehorse hotel or airport to Tagish upon request. See RATES for current fares.
BOAT TRANSFER:
With self-drive or shuttle service from Whitehorse - Tagish we provide a daily boat transfer to the lodge.
Pls. contact us at least 2 hours prior departure to Tagish by phone (867) 332 2113 to make sure we are able to meet you in Tagish! Your vehicle can be parked at no fees at the Tagish Bridge Recreation Area, or for CA$ 10/day at the gas station accross the river.
Please limit your luggage to 30 lbs. per person and wear warm clothing for the boat ride (approximately 50 min. boat ride to the lodge).
