Program / Description
This is the ideal package to get away from the gray for a couple of days! Whether you already live in the Yukon or choose to fly up for a long weekend, the vastness of this Territory and the wilderness comfort at Tagish Wilderness Lodge will provide you unforgettable memories!
Day 1 – Arrival at Tagish Wilderness Lodge
Individual transfer in the morning to Carcross, Yukon (approx. 40 minutes from Whitehorse, the wilderness city). There, you meet the Musher and dogteam and get your first experience of dogsledding – you will be transferred on the dogsled across the frozen lake to the Tagish Wilderness Lodge, where your hosts are awaiting you with a hot cup of coffee and a healthy meal. A snack and hot drinks will be served on the way to the Lodge - get the real trapper feeling!
Day 2 – Dogsledding
Your mushing adventure starts! Through the snow covered and pristine wilderness of Tagish Lake, you enjoy a beautiful ride with lovely huskies that are gentle but keen on running! You share your team with one fellow traveler, and the two of you also share the chores of taking care of your dogteam. A hearty trapper lunch is provided on the way around a crackling campfire.
Day 3 – Dogsledding & Departure
This unique wilderness getaway ends today with your transfer by dogsled back to Tagish. Gear your team up and take a last ride before going back into civilization. Arrival in Carcross (or Tagish) in the afternoon (starting/ending points may vary - please inquire for more details).

- 2 overnights in private log cabin, including firewood & downfill bedding
- Full board, excluding alcoholic beverages
- Use of sauna and jacuzzi
- 1 day dogsledding including professional instruction and with professional musher
- Rental of heavy duty winter equipment (overall, boots, mitts)

Good to know:
- The program is designed for a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 participants.
- If you have a moderate fitness level and a good feeling of balance, you will enjoy this tour. No dogmushing or wilderness experience is needed for this program. Standing on a dogsled is comparable with cross country skiing. We do however request that you fill in our health form prior to signing up for a tour, so we can make sure it suits your physical condition.
